Roofs, Pumpkins & Cooler Days
Happy October!
We don’t know about y’all, but we are very ready for some cooler weather. We know this is Southeast Texas, so we probably should not get our hopes up too much but surely we are getting close!
At this point, we may be ready to call 78 degrees sweater weather.
October is one of our favorite times of year. The pumpkins start showing up, Halloween decorations are everywhere, and it finally starts to feel like we are moving into the holiday season.
Hopefully the pumpkins last longer than our cool mornings do!
Around here, we are still staying busy taking care of roofs and helping our customers with repairs, inspections and all the normal things that come along with owning a commercial building.
We have also had some pretty windy weather lately, so this is a good time to keep an eye out for anything that may look a little different inside your building.
You do not have to know anything about roofing to notice the little things.
Maybe it is a new stain on a ceiling tile.
Maybe you notice a damp spot.
Maybe something just looks a little off.
Those are the kinds of things that are worth paying attention to before they turn into something bigger.
Because if there is one thing we can all agree on, it is that Halloween surprises are fun.
Roof surprises? Not so much.
We are all for a good spooky surprise this time of year, but water dripping from the ceiling is definitely not the kind we mean.
We always tell our customers that catching something early is usually easier than waiting until you have water coming in and then having to figure out where it is coming from.
So while you are decorating, buying candy, and trying not to eat all of it before Halloween, just keep an eye out around your building too.
And if you are anything like us, the “trying not to eat all the candy” part may be the hardest job of the month.
And as always, if you see something that does not look right, give us a call. We are happy to take a look.
We really do appreciate all of our customers and everyone who continues to support our family business year after year.
We hope you have a fun October, a safe Halloween, and maybe — just maybe — a few cooler mornings too.
Here’s to good weather, good candy, and no spooky roof surprises!
